This Precious thread necklace was such a wonderful find. I was so captivated by it beyond all the semiprecious bubbles that were hanging. String art first marketed in the 1960’s” and became popular in the 1970’s”. However I never actually held a piece so perfect and delicate in my hand. Truly it isn’t that delicate but it is very light in weight and needs so much respect. The tear drop worked with three colors of thread (red, white and blue) measures 1 3/4″ long by 1 1/8″ wide. That does not include the three small round that hand above it. The chain measures 18″ around the neck with a jump ring closure. This is beyond wild – iconic!!

The main thing in styling this iconic piece is not to over power it. A simple white t-shirt that is V-neck would be super with your favorite jeans and minimal belt. Go with simple chain earrings that reflect the weight and coloration of the metal necklace chain. This is a wonderful conversation piece from a period in time that did respect sustainability. Don't forget to top it with ball cap or minimal hat or headband and this ROCKS!! I think you will be the only one with a beautifully crafted string art necklace. I would not wear it in water to to shower.
