Inspired by the phenomenal book series, this bracelet is made with fabric from t-shirts in dark red, fire engine red, and mustard yellow, and accented with white and gold ribbon. It is finished with a gold magnetic clasp and can be easily dressed up or dressed down for formal or casual wear. Finished size is approximately 8 inches, or 21 centimeters.
Who is the Gryffindor in your friend group? The one who is great but maybe a bit impulsive? The one who will clapback at the teacher without missing a beat? Well, then this bracelet would be perfect for them.
My initial plan was to incorporate gold fabric into the design. But after scouring several thrift stores, I discovered that gold fabric is not all that common unless it’s from a swimsuit or Christmas ribbon. What I did have, however, was a mustard yellow t-shirt from the brand No Boundaries, and some satin ribbon with gold accents that I also used for my Rapunzel bracelet. I was able to use the yellow fabric as backing for the ribbon to accentuate the gold, and all in all, I think it pairs beautifully with the dark red and bright red. Gold jewelry cones and a gold magnetic clasp, of course.
