Inspired by the wildly successful book series, this stunning Ravenclaw bracelet features soft black jersey material and two different satins –ice blue and royal blue. This bracelet can add a touch of sophistication and texture to any look, and the gold magnetic clasp makes it easy to take on and off. It measures approximately 8 inches, or 20 centimeters, in length.
So this was actually not the first version of this bracelet. Originally, I had the ice blue satin paired with a slightly darker blue cotton and a bronze-colored ribbon. But I kept looking at it knowing that it wasn’t something I was proud of. Material with a “bronzey” look is hard to find, so I was stoked when I found the ribbon, but it was very stiff and didn’t want to braid nicely. In the end, I scrapped that version (the bronze ribbon will have it’s day) and pivoted to the black cotton and royal blue satin.
Fun fact: the royal blue satin is actually from a pillowcase. I know! It’s amazing how you can take something that had one purpose and give it a completely different outlook. And the ice blue satin?
