This is a rescued and restored very vintage necklace that features a 1 1/4 inch circular pendant base carved and encrusted with jet rhinestones, a burnished clear double diamond shaped rhinestone (1/2 Inch) and a tiny half inch high off white cameo of unknown material. Hanging from the central pendant are five strands of jet and crystal clear beads. The shorter end strands measure about 3 inches while the longest center strand measures 4 inches long. The clasp is the original clasp which helps identify this as quite old. However, the clasp works perfectly. The crystals on the stands echo the double diamond shape of the rhinestone on the round pendant. They each measure about a half inch in length. The necklace weighs 1.5 oz and the chain which is not adjustable measures a little over 14 inches. It is a romantic vintage piece and has been lovingly restored to it’s prior glory…and then some!
This relic was restored and additional decorative features were added to the found necklace. It is clearly jet glass beads and imbedded jet rhinestones. The little lady carved cameo is of unknown material – not clearly shell as most cameos – but adds to the romantic whimsy of this piece. The fringe of jet beaded and crystal strands make this a real statement conversation piece to add to anyone’s collection.
