Intelligent, slightly creepy characters with a deadpan sense of humor hold a special place in my heart. This design was inspired by both the Christina Ricci portrayal in The Addam’s Family Values, as well as Jenna Ortega’s in the hit Netflix series.
When deciding which colors to use (besides black, obviously), I toyed around with incorporating black lace with the dark grey floral and black cotton, but ultimately it didn’t have the punch I was looking for. It felt dull and unextraordinary. And Wednesday certainly is not dull. In the end, I think the white cotton adds a nice contrast while still be respectful of the character. The grey fabric might actually be my favorite, though. It’s upcycled from a balaklava that never fulfilled it’s purpose during the pandemic. But the small, understated floral pattern reminded me of a dress that Wednesday wore in both The Addams Family and The Addams Family Values.
The bracelet is finished with silver cones and a silver magnetic clasp, and is great for adding a bit of eclectic flair to your outfit.
