This piece was featured on the runway of Rhode Island Fashion Week! All my designs are painted freehand onto secondhand clothing items to promote sustainable fashion, and each piece is one-of-a-kind. The paint is durable and formulated specifically to set into fabric. It is waterproof and holds up to lots of wear. Chiffon can be dry cleaned and ironed on a low setting.
Black chiffon scarf with red polka dots, hand-painted to feature Venus Fly Trap plants. Traps, leaves, stalks, and flowers of the plant are all displayed and the painting spans the whole scarf. Metallic paint lends a light shimmer to the piece. Lightweight and perfect as an edgy accessory in any season. Versatile enough to wear as many different things, including a headband, belt, or wrap.
